  What is Physiotherapy?   

Physiotherapy is the physical treatment of the body, using hands-on (manual therapy) or by use of electrotherapy.
* The reduction and control of pain and inflammation
* The restoration of movement in joints, muscles and neural system
* Identification and management of the causes of the problem in order to reduce the risk of further exacerbation or injury

  How can physiotherapy help me?   

Physiotherapy is concerned with identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being. It involves the interaction betwee nphysiotherapists (physio), patients/clients, other health professionals, families, care givers, and communities in a process where movement potential is assessed and goals are agreed upon, using knowledge and skills unique to physiotherapy Physical therapy is performed by a physiotherapist.
